About Safety Team (Culpeper)
Although we do not like to think about the possibility of violent events taking place at church, it is something for which it is critical to prepare.
This ministry team is responsible for the safety of anyone who sets foot inside the MVCC doors. If your heart is to protect the safety of those seeking and worshiping God, then prayerfully consider this ministry.
Requirements to Serve:
- Be an active member of MVCC
- Have current or prior law enforcement, military, fire, first responder, or other relevant experience
- Complete a background check
- Possess a Virginia Concealed Carry Permit
- Be oriented to and commit to upholding the MVCC safety team standard operating procedures
Essential Characteristics of a Safety Team Member:
- Keen situational awareness
- Strong decision-making skills
- Attention to detail
- Dependable and reliable
- Strong communication skills with an ability to de-escalate
Time Requirements: Ideally, one Sunday per month covering all services for approximately 4 hours at a time. However, flexibility can be discussed.
